The Duck Shop Basketball Pick Em Games — Session Four
As I said in the earlier post, we had four players get the same amount of games incorrect (one). Once again, the tiebreaker came into play and James and Rob both had Quinn Cook’s assist total at four. Since he only played a minute and only had one assist, those two will fight it out in a trivie contest determine the tiebreaker. Make sure you get those tiebreakers in! One of them will walk away with a Duke Basketball Never Stops T-shirt once the trivia contest is over.
Check out your picks below on the spreadsheet. If I made an error, please let me know so I can fix it ASAP.
THE DUCK SHOP ACC BASKETBALL PICK EM CONTEST SPREADSHEET
On to the games/tiebreaker for Session Four. Life events delayed the posting of this one, but we have to keep moving so I’ll give you until Wednesday at 6:55 PM to get your picks in. As always, leave your picks in a comment down below this post, registering with your name and email address so I can get in touch with you if/when you win. As we continue ACC play, there are a ton more games to use and they should be more competitive.
Please only type who you think will be the winner on each line. If you see the spreadsheet, you’ll see it’s easier for me that way. Please also only use the name of the university like I posted below. The mascots make my job a little harder.

- Duke @ Virginia Tech 2/2
- Virginia @ Florida State 2/4
- Clemson @ Virginia Tech 2/4

The Duck Shop Pick Em — Session Three Results
First, I want to apologize to all of the contestants who participated in this session of The Duck Shop‘s ACC Basketball Pick Em Contest. Sometimes, life gets in the way of my posting capabilities and this was one of those instances. As I was a week late posting the results, we obviously skipped a week of basketball games and the contest will have to be adjusted accordingly. Luckily for me, there was an extra week in the season where we can just move everything forward and not miss a beat. On to the results.
We had 25 entries in the third session of games and there were a lot of good entries. The Wake Forest/Virginia Tech game was one that every picker got wrong, so if you went with the Hokies, don’t fret.
THE DUCK SHOP ACC BASKETBALL PICK EM CONTEST SPREADSHEET
Check out sheet 3 for the results of this session if it doesn’t take you right to it.
There were four entries that only got that game wrong, so the picks went on to the tiebreaker of the # of Quinn Cook’s assists in the Florida State game. Due to illness and injury, Quinn was only able to contribute 1 minute of action and therefore had zero assists. Two pickers had four assists as their guess and they will be participating in a tiebreaker trivia contest tomorrow sometime to determine who won the Duke Basketball Never Stops T-Shirt pictured above. Good picking!
Stay tuned as I’ll be posting the games for the next session shortly. You will have until Wednesday evening to get your picks in for Session Four.
The Duck Shop Basketball Pick Em Games — Session Three
Congrats to Aaron for winning Session Two by being the only person to get the Princeton upset correct, and for nailing the Virginia Tech-Oklahoma State game. Once again, the tiebreaker came into play and Aaron was only one three-point attempt off the total of 33 to take the win. Make sure you get those tiebreakers in! Aaron walks away with a Duke-Nike Regulation Basketball for guessing 34 attempts and getting 9/10 picks correct.
Check out your picks below on the spreadsheet. If I made an error, please let me know so I can fix it ASAP.

As always, leave your picks in a comment down below this post, registering with your name and email address so I can get in touch with you if/when you win. As we enter ACC play, there are a ton more games to use and they should be more competitive.
Please only type who you think will be the winner on each line. If you see the spreadsheet, you’ll see it’s easier for me that way. Please also only use the name of the university like I posted below. The mascots make my job a little harder.

The Duck Shop Pick Em — Session Two Results
I hope everyone had a great holiday break and got to enjoy some competitive ACC Basketball games over the past two weeks. I’m wondering if you all are watching the scores to these games because you have something to win, or if you just wait for the results post to see how you did. Please let me know when you enter this week.
We had 55 entries in the first session of games and a lot of those people did not pick games during this session, so your chances to win obviously went up. 8 new people did join, but it didn’t make up for the people who only picked during the first session. If you want to look back on the games, do so here.

Check out sheet 2 for the results of this session if it doesn’t take you right to it.
On to the games, Princeton’s upset of Florida State in triple overtime tripped everyone up except for Matt Knight, who went with the upset. One game had picks on either side of it, the Virginia Tech-Oklahoma State rematch. The Hokies got the win, but that game disqualified a lot of players who only had one game wrong (the Princeton win) and thus separated the pack. The tiebreaker again came into play as we had 4 players with 9 games right. Aaron was closest to the total of 33 three-pointers with 34 and wins this session. Congrats to Aaron for winning the above regulation size Nike Duke Basketball.
Stay tuned as I’ll be posting the games for the next session shortly.
The Duck Shop Session Two Basketball Pick Em Games
At the time of this writing, we still don’t know if Billy or KNB1 won the first session of The Duck Shop‘s ACC Basketball Pick Em Contest. You all had a bunch of really good picks, with the Georgia-Georgia Tech game being the toughest. Read the recap of Session 1 here to see how if you finished in the Top 8 and be sure to check the Google Spreadsheet below to see how you did last week.

The Duck Shop Session One Pick Em Results
Hope everyone has had a great two weeks and has been paying attention to the games you picked back in early December. There were a lot of strong picks on the ten games, with the Georgia-Georgia Tech game being the most difficult game apparently. Not many of you had faith in Brian Gregory’s Georgia Tech team to pull off the upset, but they did. The Miami-Florida Atlantic game could have broken a lot of hearts if FAU was able to pull off the win in Double OT, but the Hurricanes prevailed and saved all but two of you from losing as well.
I have setup a Google Spreadsheet for the picks. In order to promote complete transparency, I am providing the link to this sheet so you all can see each other’s picks.
If you feel I have incorrectly scored your or someone else’s picks, please let me know in the comments below or email me at adam[at]dukehoopblog.com.
With only one game left to go tonight (UVA vs. Oregon starting at 5:30), we have 9 players who have gotten all games correct. One of those 9, Kelly at The Duck Shop, is actually ineligible to win the prize as they are the sponsors. There are picks on both sides of the game, so one of these 8 people will get the win, depending on the outcome of the game. Read more
The Duck Shop Week One ACC Basketball Pick Em Games

If this is not enough to decide a winner, there will be a tiebreaker provided. If this is not enough, a trivia question will decide the winner. See above link for all rules.

We want to keep giving you opportunities to win prizes throughout the college basketball season so we have created a new contest that will run bi-weekly until the last game of the regular season for Duke, a home game against North Carolina on Saturday, March 3rd.
Each week, I will post 10 games being played by ACC teams for you to pick. Unlike our college football contest, which was set for you to pick against the spread, these games will be straight up so even the most casual fan will have the chance to increase your Duke gear collection.
